If you have an Apple Watch on your wrist, try this experiment:
– Make sure your Apple Watch is unlocked and paired to your iPhone.
– Unlock your wristband, making sure your Apple Watch stays in contact with your wrist.
– Slide your opposing wrist under your other wrist, then quickly drop your Apple Watch from one wrist to the other.
If you do this quickly enough, your Apple Watch will stay unlocked and you can transfer from one wrist to another.
I was thinking about Apple Pay and the possibility of using Apple Pay via Apple Watch at an ATM. If someone robbed you, took your iPhone and was able to take your Apple Watch without unlocking it, would they be able to go on an Apple Pay spending spree?
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, that’s a very solvable problem.
This is a high-risk, low-reward maneuver for a thief; they would rather just take your wallet. And even today, we can easily mitigate damage when somebody takes your wallet.
A milanese loop avoids this possibility because it can’t be undone, and two wrists won’t fit inside it.
I’m not sure what possibility it avoids.
It’s actually sufficient to put your fingers behind the watch instead of your wrist to keep it unlocked, so I can switch wrists even with my loop fairly easily.

You’re unconscious. It’s not about “letting” anyone do anything.
I was thinking the same. The time involved to do this is not worth it anywhere but a remote/private place with an unconscious target.
My wrists are too big/fat.
Easier for the mugger to point the gun/knife/club at you and have you unlock the watch on his/her wrist.
This feels like the risk of someone getting a great fingerprint of yours and using it to unlock your phone. Yeah, it COULD happen but the odds are so remote as to be zero. What’s more likely “Hey buddy, do this complicated thing with your Apple Watch… No, let’s try again” or “Punch your PIN into the machine or I shoot you”?
There is probably more productive things to think and write about than such an extreme edge case like this.

and besides. soon you’ll set a with drawl from your banks app and next time you get close to an ATM, you can just grab your cash – via touch ID. phone watch stolen won’t matter unless your finger comes with.
set $100 withdrawl on app. walk up to ATM and touch the sensor.. alternatives include retina scans at the ATM.. the new ones – give 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100’s .. the thing that looks like a security camera is actually for biometrics –
