Great FCPX article, Dave. I was just crowing to anyone in my office that would listen about how great compound clips and asset management are. My workflow is slightly different than his, as I need to go to AE to add effects etc, so a plug in I’d add to his list that I consider essential is Xto7. The name is slightly misleading, as you can drop your xml file directly into AE and your timeline is right there – you don’t need to go to FCP 7 at all.
I know a lot of folks that still rail on X, and I know none of them gave it enough of a chance to get to really understand it.
