An Apple/China divorce would be seriously disruptive. Apple could afford to rebuild factories elsewhere, but I think replacing the workforce would be arduous. I’m sure several countries would gladly welcome a partnership with Apple to produce the iPhone, though. Imagine the Philippines, Vietnam or Costa Rica getting that contract, it would completely revolutionize their economies.
