New York Times:
>Bob Ross painted more than 1,000 landscapes for his television show — so why are they so hard to find? We solve one of the internet’s favorite little mysteries.
Bob Ross was a national treasure. I’ve never had any interest in painting or drawing but he was absolutely captivating.
Loved this guy. We watched several seasons of this show on Youtube awhile back. It was a great way to wind down at the end of the day. I can remember several specific paintings I’d have wanted to see on my wall.
He was the greatest! I have all his shows archived and watch them all the time. Having his paintings exhibited at the Smithsonian is a wonderful tribute to him and I can’t think of a better way to honour his memory.
I remember watching him on tv as a kid and being absolutely mesmerized…
