Apple puts any stolen goods in a lost or stolen mode, rendering any gear stolen from the store useless to the thieves. So why do they do it? Either ignorance, or they’ve got access to a spare parts market.
And yup, it’s shoplifting, not robbery, but the bigger point remains.

Or they’re part of organized crime syndicates that have access to tools that make them worthwhile.
I’m trying to imagine loving a trillion-dollar company so much that you beg them to electrocute people who steal their product.

My bad. Let’s see… Here’s your quote, “you beg them to electrocute people who steal their product” … The OP was about tasing. Don’t try to pretend you’re being a paragon of exactitude and honesty. I think any fair-minded person would look at that and say your take is hyperbolic.
Who said it’s about loving the company?

Organized thieves like that aren’t Poor Down On Their Luck People Trying To Feed Their Starving Kids, and deserve little sympathy (though I do not wish to see them literally killed – but tasering is not that, and “electrocution” normally means a fatal shock, not a LTL deterrent).
It’s okay to be salty at them because their actions actually hurt everyone else buying the products by making them more expensive.
Losses to theft are paid for by other consumers (even if insurance covers some, insurance isn’t free), not simply eaten by the company making the products.
If Apple’s shoplifting losses went to zero they wouldn’t lower their prices by a dime. That’s not how they price their products.
Apple’s losses due to credit card processing fees are 6–7 times as much as their losses to shoplifting. But even if all credit card processing became free tomorrow, Apple wouldn’t lower their prices in response.
