So very curious. What’s Apple up to here? Wondering if there’s a specific product in the pipeline, or perhaps still a broader R&D effort sussing out the space, exploring various business models.
Drive.ai was focused on “developing kits to convert normal cars into autonomous ones.” That’s where Apple is going.
I presume, apple want real world application of all their AI / Camera / Sensor algorithms. I doubt it is real product related.
Sometimes you just have to do «Applied Science» in order to align fundamental research in the right direction.
Space Research is a great example. Set a goal and find solution.
Autonomous cars is no different.
