HomePod, the innovative wireless speaker from Apple, will be available in mainland China and Hong Kong markets starting Friday, January 18.
Under normal circumstances I would think this was great news, but with China’s economy being what it is, I’m not sure this will be a big help for Apple, at least not yet.
Have sales for HomePod anywhere been more than a blip?
Maybe at six percent. I have one and love it. Didn’t hurt that Target had them at $100 off.. lower the price and they will sell.

Well, yeah! Although, even at $250 I’d really have difficulty justifying it to myself. Yes, I’m cheap. And no, I won’t be buying anything from the companies that view me as the product, at any price point.
That was the figure for market share late last year, before Christmas however. Accurate? I have no idea, but sounds reasonable. My biggest struggle justifying the expense is for the watch. Can’t seem to see the value to me for that. Also, I hate wearing a watch.
