In retrospect, I think the “gather round” thing was just Apple trolling the kremlinology folk.
I’m not really sure what people expect. Faster. Bigger. Better battery life. Better software.
Until it walks your dog people just aren’t gonna be happy.
Egged on by rumor-based headlines generated by analysts looking to short the stock.
What do people expect? Ask non-tech-nerd consumers, phone salespeople, manufacturer marketing departments, conspiracy theorists, law enforcement, and elected officials… and you’ll get several dozen different responses.
That certainly appeals to me. But some of them will now complain that’s because Apple had nothing Truly Innovative to announce.
