Now you can purchase AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss protection. Costs $100 more than traditional Apple Care+ but will cover the theft of your device. Nice catch by Wil.
Plus $199-269 theft/loss deductible.
Insurance: always at least a bit of a gamble.
Though I’ve benefitted several times from traditional Apple Care, by way of no-cost, 0-deductible equipment repairs—especially when repairs were done just before the extended coverage period lapsed, this “Theft and Loss” coverage seems to be rather excessive and perhaps a sort of panacea for relatively careless owners.
Theft is thew insurance plan. Your renters’ or homeowners’ with the proper rider is much more affordable.
