Amazing how someone can go from looking like a youthful 20-something to a haggard and much-used-up 50-something in a span of 3 years.

Oh, definitely agree. In about 2 months a beard starts to make you look old. In one year? Elderly and used-up. But that three year thing? Made the dude like like a decrepit old fossil.
The thing is, I think he really looks better about 30 days in. A fairly short beard works for him better than no beard. But the 3 year beard is just nasty. Then again, I’ve never liked or understood the appeal of bushy, long beards.
