Carol Kaye: Rock’s most prolific session musician

I’d never heard of her until this video. It’s shame she doesn’t get more recognition.

  1. Me three. Kaye is pretty friggin’ awesome, and the doc is great. It’s a nice complement to the Muscle Shoals documentary, which while ostensibly about the producer Rich Hall, has a bunch of stuff about the house band, the Swampers.

  2. I contribnuteed to the Wrecking Crew documentary and highly recommend it to anyone interested in music creation. In addition to Carol Kaye, who is so awesome, there was Tommy Tedesco (His son made the documentary) and Glen Campbell. I can’t say enough about this documentary and that additional relevant information is added from time to time.

  3. She is part of the Wrecking Crew. There is a great documentary about her and her fellow masters.

  4. Agreed. Very glad I heard about this amazing group awhile back. Didn’t even know they existed before a couple of years ago.

  5. My compliments on an excellent piece of work. Considering the scope of the subject matter, I’d have happily watched a miniseries about those people.
