Can’t believe this is real. How did that little critter get inside the screen?
I vote for Timothy to take the machine to the Apple Store and just record everything that goes on.

About a year ago, my wife’s iMac got some sort of bug in it just like this, but it wasn’t a spider. It crawled around for at least a couple of weeks then disappeared.
LOL. Honestly, I’m amazed this doesn’t happen more often.
NYC’s repair tech Louis Rossmann recently showed a broken MacBook that another shop had sent him to fix. The interior was clogged with food droppings, crawling with ants, and proceeded to infest his entire work area.
Back around 1991 when I worked at a struggling prepress studio in SF, a bee flew in the window and crawled into our Agfa imagesetter. We only discovered this when our films all started coming out with a streak. The Agfa tech said the bee got crushed and the parts got sucked into the innermost works, right into the laser path to the film. This would require a total rebuild, the cost was horrifying. Faced with replacing their most expensive machine, the studio folded.
This is a very easy fix. All you need are two suctions cups on the glass covering the display, a quick tug and the glass pops off. The front glass held in place by magnets around the parameter. The spider can then be dispatched or relocated as appropriate.

I had a huntsman spider (big brown hairy thing) crawl out of my keyboard. I jumped and the spider crawled back in.
I didn’t touch that keyboard for weeks.
