Just great
Now that’s a beard.
Lister???
Also, the stickers on the MacBook at 3:08 🙂
And Jim, too.
The beard! So easy to spot the alpha males in the wild.
I missed the first ten minutes. This is terrific.
Update: And of course, Macintouch describes it as something “some might consider offensive.” Why?
I imagine it’s because Apple is playing up the stereotypes often exhibited by developers and some aren’t happy they’re being poked. I’m a programmer and I thought the video was funny.
For a company that prides itself on respecting everyone regardless of *, this video seems a bit out of place.
I disagree that it was out of place. Nobody is above having a tiny bit of fun poked at them. Nobody. This wasn’t an indictment or a criticism, it was good-natured understanding.
And it falls right along the lines of that old William Shatner SNL “Get a life!” moment, which was likely written by several people who’d been deep-dive Trekkies themselves. I was one of the pasty nerds that was aimed directly at, and I laughed at it for days.
Anyone who claims to have been offended by either one of those bits perhaps has indeed been hiding in the dark for too long.
Didn’t realise Jim and / or The Beard was a developer.
