8 different Qi-Fast chargers over 4 months. Which one was the best?

MobileReviews:

In the past few months, we have used 8 iPhone Qi-Chargers. During those months of testing, thereʼs only one that weʼd actually recommend people on getting.

Our pick is the Anker Powerwave. We like it not because of the fast charge capability but because of the physical design.

But Anker Powerwave is not actually the fastest Qi-charger despite our liking to it. Pictek Fast Wireless Charger is actually the fastest among the bunch.

Even though I have an iPhone X, I have yet to bother with any kind of “wireless” charger. But if you’re in the market for one, this review may help.

  1. Hi Shawn, haven’t wireless chargers been shown to degrade battery performance more quickly over time?

  2. When we bought a Samsung S9 for our son, they offered me a second Samsung fast charger (the round one that holds the phone at an angle) for the taxes only. So I bought one because I remember a review saying it was the fastest charger for the iPhone 8 and X. Sure enough, it is quite fast. I like it just fine, though the power cable is a bit short. But it sits on my desk at work and lets me see my iPhone X and unlock it without having to lift it off the charger like I had to do with the Mophie I had before (and gave to mom for her desk at work).

The 2018 Samsung charger is very expensive ($80) but the similar 2017 model works just as well and is selling for just over $30. So that’s a better option than any of these in my book.

  3. Would you mind using CoconutBattery to check how many cycles you have gone through, and in what period of time?
