This iPhone X ad reached back in time, editing together snippets from a comedy album Muhammad Ali created early on in his professional boxing career, before he changed his name. The album was released under his birth name of Cassius Marcellus Clay, Jr., back when the world was first learning about “The Greatest”.
The snippets used in the Apple ad are from the second track on the album.
Here’s a link to the album’s Wikipedia page.
This is a cute ad, but frankly I’ve had my X now for a couple of weeks, and I can say that the one feature I am most disappointed in is the one depicted here. I’ve not been able to get a single good shot using the “studio” lighting feature, not one acceptable shot. I love the camera overall, always have, but this feature is misrepresented in these ads.
Incredible. https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/i-am-the-greatest/192940647
