Ten years ago today, I was in the audience when Jobs introduced the Air. I was skeptical at the time (the work I was doing “required” the power of a full-sized laptop. At the time, I was lugging around a 17″ MacBook Pro) but now I love my Air, especially when I travel.
Macworld Expo SF 2008 – The MacBook Air Intro
Last I saw you used the 12″ MacBook.
The first Air was a “great concept, but not quite there yet” product, like the first Mac and the iPad 1.
The second-gen Air was where it all came together.
You could say the same thing of the MacPro. The first one was OK, but the second generation, the one released 2008 was so much better.
That is why I am going to wait for the iMac Pro second generation.
The 2010 MacBook Air was the start of the most successful laptop ever.
You are lucky person. I am also fond of Air, because of its features.

The iMac pro is not really a new design though. It uses the normal iMac chassis. The difference is the internal packaging.
This is true, but I still think there is room for improvement. Like user accessible RAM.
I agree. Crucial for any desktop to have user accessible RAM. Most common upgrade part.
