The video is only about 6 minutes long, worth the time. The questions are interesting, there’s some terrific footage of the new Chicago riverfront Apple Store, and there’s the chance to see Time Cook and Angela Ahrendts together, get a sense of their comfortableness with each other. Not something you can see in print.
One interesting bit about 5:27 in: Tim was asked about rumors of Angela being slated as the next CEO. Perfect deflection, and good response on Tim’s part.
Great interview. I actually like Tim’s political comments. Quite diplomatic and even-keeled.
Yes. I liked his distinction between being involved in politics and being active in policy.
Really great to hear some political neutrality, some non-partisan comments, from the CEO. Excited for Apple and its continued direction. Not sure about augmented reality and how I could benefit from it. My own augmented reality is in the imagination, not in videos. Ahrens appears to be empowered to move forward with Apple. Good choice, I think. Coding is of course important now and in the future, but we need more emphasis on unified education in the sciences and history. So many young school grads are utterly ignorant of the very world we live in.
Maybe Angela said something in the 5 mins they didn’t show?
Even Tim can’t pull off the “its so much more than a Store” schtick.
