I love that feature. It’s so easy for me to grab a photo of the kids with someone, or my wife at an event just by searching their names and associated info. Makes a huge difference with photo libraries in the tens or hundreds of thousands.
Is there more to this than Faces? I suppose there is, in that it syncs across devices. But I’m interested why this exists in parallel with Faces.
It’s just a different name for the album. It’s the exact same syncing process as Faces (which will sync across devices in iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra).
