After removing the iPod nano and Shuffle, Apple has now adjusted the price of the iPod Touch.
The iPod Touch is getting increasingly long in the tooth.
The Touch is great, not only as the device it’s intended to be, but also as a tertiary/peripheral display or controller.
With an A8 I don’t think it’s going to be able to handle ARKit. I think that’ll be a problem.

I hope Apple have something that is “pocket-sized”, capable enough for ARKit in the sub-$300 price range in the near future. It will make a great Christmas present for kids!

I’m sure Apple could pull off updating the A8 to an A9 in the near future. It’s just funny they’ve waited this long.
Not as high of a priority on their list of to-do, I suppose.
I have a fondness for the device; two of them enabled me to use iOS for years before my first iPhone. Selling the last one on Glyde was difficult; it was still a great piece of hardware.
And it has other uses.

I’ve been a Touch user from the start. I own a very cheap phone & plan which I never use. I live off the Touch.
