Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in June, Cochlear’s Nucleus 7 Sound Processor can now stream sound directly from a compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to the sound processor.
The device also allows those with a surgically embedded implant to control and customize the sound from their iPhone.
This sounds incredible.

I talked with a buddy with a cochlear implant about this. He says that he wants to stream Guns and Roses to his implant.

That would be the first thing that I would stream!
It’s about time they did it. I understand it takes very long time to get this approved (thru FDA or FCC whichever that is) for approx. 5 years. I first debuted my concept http://www.cochlearapp.com in 2011 (roughly 5 years ago). They liked my concept though 🙂
