Engadget:
>Adobe has launched a new way to turn your physical documents into PDFs with editable text, and it’s completely free. The company has released a new mobile app simply called “Scan” for both iOS and Android, and to create a digital copy of a document, you merely have to point your phone’s camera at it.
I rarely need to do this which is why I’ve never paid for an iOS app that does it but for those of you who need to do this kind of stuff, this might be just the ticket. There are the usual privacy concerns though.

That may not be something you want, depending on the sensitivity of the documents.
Adobe already has too many hooks in my flesh. Thanks, I’ll stick with my Fujitsu Scansnap.
Or the many, many, OCR applications out there.
Adobe’s been getting a bit too sloppy as of late, and by as of late I mean for years now.
So much so, I think I’ll be keeping what I can control, under my control.
Their Creative Cloud apps show the continued oddness of their siloed management. Continued UI inconsistencies, with some changes made more as an attempt to imitate modern design than to take advantage of its true benefits.
And still selling apps that do many more things than Microsoft’s, but still stuck in similar thinking.
Just tried this out and it’s a horrible PDF scanner app. There’s a lot better ones out there, especially ScannerPro and Scanbot.
