Life explained like a video game

Just perfect. Amazing analogy.

  1. This is an example of the tail wagging the dog. A ridiculous and an apathetic, fatalistic outlook on real life. Computer games are manmade, but that doesn’t mean gamers have to be the ultimate effects of how they were structured. Resorting to modeling one’s life after them is certainly misguided and stupid.

  2. Dan, I think it was a tongue-in-cheek joke. Not a stirring commentary on mortality.

  3. Funny, but obviously made by a young person as indicated by the comment about the first 18 levels being irrelevant to playing the game as well as the general, nihilistic, “there is no point to this game” attitude. Players who are closer to the end of this “game,” know better.

  4. Perhaps, but I maintain that there’s still entirely too much of a propensity to compare humans with the machines they themselves design, a notion which is profoundly flawed. The designer is far superior to his design.
