Have a problem with an app purchased on the Mac or iOS app store, or via iTunes? Looking for a refund?
Apple’s got a page for that. Click the link, then enter your AppleID password. You’ll see a scrolling list of all your recent purchases, with a Report a Problem link for each one.
The list includes purchase for music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books. Good to know, pass it along.

When iOS 11 hits and all those 32-bit apps we spent real money on disappear, will Apple refund us, or at least provide some recompense?
I have 505 apps on my Dev iPad that require updating, some of which were very expensive.
I think this is going to be a significant issue come the autumn.
Do apps have a guaranteed lifespan? Did the apps work as advertised when you bought them and did they work for a reasonable long time?
That’s a moot point. If I spent say 20 bucks on a music app and 30 bucks on in-app purchases and then upgrade to iOS 11 that expenditure will disappear.
Yes, I can wear that cost but I’m acutely aware that America likes the ability to sue people, especially people with big pockets, and I don’t think anyone has deeper pockets than Apple.
I am bringing attention to the concept of 32-bitgate that is very likely to be an issue come the fall.
Having said that when you spend 50 bucks on an app and then it goes poof then after a couple of those you’re starting to look at serious money.
Not moot. Is, in fact, the point.
You’re welcome to use iOS 10, after all.
Why not blame the “developer” who took your $50 and then couldn’t be bothered developing anymore?
There is also a “Report Problem” link on the receipt you get for every iTunes purchase. Why is this such a mystery to most people?
Steven, as I say it’s not an issue for me, my circumstances as such may preclude me from loading iOS 11 anyway. Cancer is a bitch. All I am doing here is waving a flag to draw attention now to something that may be an issue in 6-9 months time.
Of course we’ll know more come WWDC. But with iOS 10 having an area displaying the apps that are going away this is pretty much on the cards.
It was theoretical, Michael but I do own quite a few expensive apps because they do certain jobs very well indeed. See my response to Steven. I’m just sort of forewarning what could be the next “gate” issue going forward.
Oh, man, fuck iOS and all that in that case. All the best with that.
It is what it is, Steven. Not complaining, life is literally too short to worry about stuff. Trying to enjoy the best of every day I have and hope that treatments fix things. Being in the U.K., my lifetime of National Insurance payments means treatment is free. I hope you guys keep the affordable care act and you spread the cost of treatment amongst every one. That’s so much fairer.
I’m covered, too, here in Canada. It’s just one less thing to worry about when you’re fighting cancer… but it’s a big one.
Canada has a sensible, measured approach to healthcare. America wants it as a method of earning coin. I love the fact that every person in your government is an expert in the field they are in. Notice the fact that Trump has appointed many people to posts that they’ve actively campaigned against. Looks pretty dumb from this side of the pond.
It isn’t always the case where government members are experts, but it certainly seems the case this time around. 🙂
