OS X Daily:
Did you know you can download a Windows 10 disc image free from Microsoft? This is seemingly little known, but yes you can download a complete legitimate Windows 10 ISO without registering or even having a product key, and you can install and run the entirety of Windows 10 using the image too.
I have not done this, but good to know, especially if you want to do a Boot Camp install to run a single application or test. Bookmark and pass along.
Doesn’t sound legal
I did this quite a while ago. I don’t use Windows much, but do need to dabble in it as one of my tech clients has a few Win10 Laptops. As far as I can tell, everything on it still works… even tho its been several months… but honestly… I haven’t installed many apps, or pushed it very much. I can do networking, and OpenVPN(thru Viscosity), and file sharing tests… soooooo for me… thats all I really need. But yes… this IS possible…
Yes it’s totally legal, and it’s straight from Microsoft. You can’t activate unless you pay though. You can certainly use this for a few months for testing if you need.
Totally legal and usually the preferred way since CDs went out of style a decade ago.
How is this not legal? If it weren’t legal, Microsoft wouldn’t have made it so easy to download a Windows ISO straight from their website. Totally legal.
