Below is Nintendo’s public presentation of their new console, the Nintendo Switch. If time is limited, jump to about 38 minutes in, where the real stuff starts.
And read the linked Washington Post piece, which does a good job highlighting the important features.
Hoping the Switch is better than the WiiU.
i don’t think that the wiiu was that bad – only that it didn’t have a lot of software. looking at the launch line-up (and the rest of the year) of the switch and the fact that it has a tegra chip, i wouldn’t get my hopes up.
after playing super mario run on my iphone and being reminded how good mario is, i’m more convinced than ever that it’s worth to own a nintendo console just for mario and zelda alone. but i’m afraid a lot of people wouldn’t see it that way – this could be nintendo’s last console. sniff.
Part of my secretly wants the Switch to fail massively so Nintendo just makes its games for Xbox / PS4 / iOS going forward.
Really don’t need or want to have 3-4 consoles in 2017.
