Uber has admitted that there is a “problem” with the way autonomous vehicles cross bike lanes, raising serious questions about the safety of cyclists days after the company announced it would openly defy California regulators over self-driving vehicles.
It’s interesting that this was observed before the launch of the self-driving cars.
Want to keep someone alive? Stop using Uber over this. On top of the tracking users via the app, abusive labor practices, and abusive surge pricing… Uber adds disregard for public safety & potential manslaughter? Uber next ‘disruption’ target – corporate negligence.
Stop using Uber and other App based ride-share services.
They abuse, flout and downright ignore labor laws, their drivers are wholly un-vetted, their drivers vehicles are not safety checked.
Uber is not a taxi service, it is a “get into a car with a stranger” app. You really want your daughter doing that?
Pay the extra 5 bucks / pounds / euros to have the confidence that the driver is not some asshat off the street who has hired a rape car for the weekend.
