This is foolish. Here in the USA we don’t need to be science smart. We just elected a traffic cone as president. I don’t think 8th grade science is of much use here.

The idea that there is a “mainstream” media is the only foolish thing.
Are you not in the mainstream? Then what are you. Everybody is in the mainstream. You are not outside the box, or tangental to the discussion. And if you do subscribe to the alt media, then you are filling your head with raw sausages.

Mainstream media are outlets which do not do journalist work regarding political parties policies, they do hire political party surrogates.
Journalism is not their main purpose, entertainment is.

That was mis-labelled. Its not ‘Science’ it’s ‘Human Biology’ Science is a lot more than human guts!

That’s not what our demagogue-elect is referring to when he attacks the “mainstream media.” He’s attacking anyone who calls him the liar that he is. There’s plenty of good journalism going on, and I suspect this election is going to cause a shift in journalistic organizations (except Fox who is now so smug they can’t contain themselves) to move more to quality reporting over reporting the horse race. (One can hope a few will anyway.)
So, where is all this good journalism going on that I refer to? Open your eyes and get out of your current echo chamber. Stop listening to only those who confirm your own beliefs. Challenge those beliefs. See if they stand up to scrutiny and an honest question or two.

Funny, I loved physics in college, but was better in biology. That’s when I decided to drop my chemistry major and become a social worker. (Big mistake, the Regan administration made finding a job impossible.) Went back to grad school and became a journalist. Now I’m in education. And hoping to retire before the current administration destroys my ability to retire.
Biology is a science! A whole lot more than, say, sociology or psychology which would be more accurately described as psedo-sciences, which are lesser sciences than physics, more than phrenology. 😉
Well, no, both are firmly grounded in the scientific method, albeit for vague and slippery subject.
