I’m glad Fallon’s current job allows him to perform alongside some of his musical heroes. And I acknowledge all the incredibly hard work and long days he puts in for a job he obviously loves. But as a host of The Tonight Show, I still consider him a lightweight talent.
I think Jimmy Fallon revitalized a show that was becoming irrelevant to a younger generation of late night TV watchers. I loved Letterman and liked Leno, but their time passed and the torch was handed to Jimmy Fallon. Now somebody has to do the same for SNL, which hasn’t been relevant since at least the days of Jimmy Fallon….maybe even before that.
Oh, I agree with you about what he’s accomplished. But as far as late-night talk show hosts are concerned, I’d much rather watch Ferguson or Conan.
