I doubt they’re going to be able to deliver ones ordered now by Christmas.
I ordered mine almost 2 weeks ago, and I’m pretty sure estimated delivery at the time was 4-5 weeks. Delivery date is still 4-5 weeks out.
Pretty disappointing. Years ago, Apple was absolutely horrible at meeting demand (the worst example was the iPod mini debacle). Then, they got really good at having devices available shortly after an announcement (and sometimes day of). But here, they’ve clearly screwed up.
