Samsung Electronics has suspended production of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones following reports of fires in replacement devices, South Korean media said on Monday, a further setback for the tech giant trying to manage its worst ever phone recall crisis.
Samsung’s decision to temporarily halt Note 7 production was done in cooperation with authorities in China and the United States, as two U.S. carriers have stopped exchanging or selling new Note 7 phones, Yonhap News Agency cited an unnamed source at a Samsung partner firm as saying.
Certainly the death knell of the Galaxy Note 7. The next question is, how will it affect Samsung’s brand and sales going forward?
I would lie if I said a Samsung mobile phone has ever been on my shopping list… But the way the handle their customers, and especially the details how they think about their own customers after injuring them, have convinced me that no Samsung product will ever be on our shopping list again (we do have three Samsung TVs and a printer – won’t happen again).
This company is scum, and they have to go. I sincerely hope that Apple will work hard to remove them from their supplier list as well. Honest people should not be forced to support this criminal operation.

Me too. I swore them off as much as possible.
The problem is Apple moves its business to some competing supplier and Samsung just buys up that part of the supply chain.

On tuesday I got a great new Land Rover Range Rover from having earned $8752 this last four weeks.. Its the most-financialy rewarding I’ve had.. It sounds unbelievable but you wont forgive yourself if you don’t check it

Say goodbye to the names “Galaxy” and “Note.”
In South Korea, Samsung is widely regarded (outside Samsung employees of course) as the E Corp of South Korea. Its business practices are highly anti-consumer and makes Comcast look tame in comparison.
I have long avoided Samsung for this reason and I will continue to avoid them moving forward.
It’s too bad many electronics use Samsung components (including Apple’s). But I am relying on Apple to have done more thorough tests and evaluation of components than Samsung.
Do we know why the batteries catch fire? Did Samsung overclock the processor? Did they try to push the batteries beyond their physical capabilties? Or is it just a faulty battery design? I’m just wondering if the flaw has something to do with trying to keep up with Apple by pushing specs too far. Or if it’s just a lack of concern for quality control.
