Jason Snell’s take on yesterday’s Apple event

If you haven’t already, take a few minutes to read Jim Dalrymple’s thoughtful reaction to yesterday’s event.

With that in mind, set aside some time to read Jason Snell’s take for Six Colors. I’m a fan of Jason’s writing, and his take really resonated with me.

  1. Yeah the more I think about the Watch, the less I care about it. I don’t need a powerful, general purpose computer with a kick ass display that’s mostly for fitness stuff. To justify the price and overhead to myself, I want it to do a variety of useful things. Fitness as one of them, yay. Fitness as the primary focus makes me wonder about how the Watch and the underpinning SDK will evolve.

NOTE: I own an Apple Watch, so don’t try the “You haven’t experienced it!” line.

  2. Google is paying 97$ per hour! Work for few hours and have longer with friends & family! !mj381d:
