I’m buying one, will edit this post once I have a sense of what happens to my existing subscription.
Update: Seth Weintraub passed along this link to the eBay/PayPal equivalent, if that’s your preference.
Any idea if you can apply this to an existing subscription, and how that works?
And is there something similar for family subscriptions…or will this at least take the equivalent amount off an annual family subscription?
I did this earlier in the week – Monday, I think – via an eBay purchase. I thought I was getting a deal, plus I don’t like monthly charges…
Basically, I entered the code, my iTunes balance went up by $99, and then very shortly thereafter I got a message that the annual plan would go into effect when my current month expires, and then my iTunes balance went down by $99…
AFAIK (and, I don’t KN) it’s only for individual plans.
I would expect that they’ll give us more information around 2:15pm EDT today.
I tried to order from Walmart.com twice. Each time I received an approval notification from my credit card company, but Walmart immediately informed me the order was cancelled because they were unable to verify some or all of my payment information. Very odd.
Bought form Ebay/Paypal and got another $5.00 off. $94 vs $119.88. A tad over a 20% discount.
Precious.
Smeagol, that’s all I heard in the first line.
Walmart pricing for me today was at $108.78 US. Used the PayPal link (got a PayPal coupon somehow for $5 off). Paid $94 for the card.
