Now all we need Apple to make these larger storage options with a family plan.
My iCloud Photo Library is 960 GB so I welcome the move. But I wish Apple would move toward flexible pricing model.
Going from $119.88/year to $239.88/year for using 960 GB to 1.1 TB is a big price jump.
And as ChuckO said, Family Sharing with data deduplication would be really useful.
I’m finding this strange issue where none of the storage cloud providers seem able to create a decent family plan for shared storage. I realize that both Dropbox and Box realize that if they do this many businesses would try to use the family plan for cost savings but iCloud is not a biz play so Apple needs to get there.
It’s weird to me that Apple Music has a Family Plan and storage options don’t.
We do the Family Plan for our Apple ID and it’s nice to have a shared calendar, apps and more. Next year we’ll add Apple Music and a shared iCloud pool just feels like the next logical step.
