With a new iPhone arriving soon, many people will look to sell their old iPhone for some quick cash. But which places offer the best return and the smoothest process? To find out, Tom’s Guide tested seven services that buy and sell used iPhones.
I’m sure a lot of people will take advantage of this.
I’ve never heard of the 1st and 2nd place finishers but I’ve used Gazelle several times and have always been happy with the transactions.
I’ve sold on Amazon before. I’m not sure the test they did really works.. you don’t want to sell to the service so they can resell you want to sell to another enduser and Amazon allows that. So, yeah, Amazon might only pay you 48% of what they sell that used phone for, but if you set yourself up as a seller on Amazon (which anyone can do), then you can sell to the enduser for much closer to the price amazon sells for.
We’re fairly happy with Glyde for this purpose.
Jim, we keep hearing about how the iPhone 7 wont have a headphone jack in order to ‘make the device smaller’. I was wondering about their smallest device: iPod Shuffle. Wonder if we could see an iPod Shuffle without any headphone jack as well. I wonder if we could see a device thats the same height/width as the current Shuffle but as thin as an Apple Remote.
It’s not to make it smaller, it’s to free up internal volume. Which is why the rumored battery specs for the 7 show a mAh increase for both phones.
