Shares (TWTR) closed up 7% Wednesday on speculation about a rumored joint takeover bid by two billionaires who are major Twitter investors: former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, no stranger to substantial tech investments.
Twitter is different than anything Google or Facebook has, at least for me. The mere mention of Ballmer made me shudder.
DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS
Twitter hates developers. How ironic.
Twitter needs new management. Jack needs to be fired, the “Trust and Safety Council” needs to be shown the door, and they need to get back to focusing on the product, rather than using it as their own personal political revenge platform.
They don’t “need” to do anything. They can do whatever they want. The public has to stop believing the delusion that, just because we own shares, we decide what a company should be about.
So the owners of a company shouldn’t decide what the company does?
