The Mac Observer:
Tim Cook announced on Twitter Wednesday that July was a record month for the App Store, and that Apple has now paid more than $50 billion to developers. Both represent massive accomplishments, and the $50 billion paid out to developers would make the reputation of any other company for decades to come.
Great news for Apple and developers. I find it mildly interesting Cook tweeted this out instead of issuing a press release.
Gradually, they will hear it…
Watch for the doom and gloom next month when the revenues are down because that Pokeman blight has already turned and is headed for obscurity.
We’re not going to get a story tomorrow now about how the SEC is fining Tim Cook for not disclosing this information in the right channels, are we? Has that matter been cleared up after the Reed Hastings/Netflix debacle a few years back?
Great news for games with consumable in-app purchases you mean. How many billions do you think deserving iOS developers like Omni, Panic, and David Smith get? Like Marco said in an episode of Under the Radar, no one should be proud of this.
