Apple’s newsroom:
Thousands of customers turned out Saturday for the grand opening of Apple Williamsburg, the first Apple store in Brooklyn. Customers began queuing Friday on Bedford Ave before midnight, and when the store opened at 10 a.m. Saturday the line stretched around the block.
Here’s a link to the page, with pictures of the celebration.
Wow, Apple really spared no expense here.
I love the brickwork. Prefer it over the chrome and glass of their other stores.
I’m in Sydney and I find their flagship store aesthetically cold. The glass steps are a technological achievement but coupled with silver walls the place feels like I’m in iTunes.
So more brickwork and other natural materials please.
Agreed. I’ve always wished the Apple Stores had more “personality”.
