Apple says Supreme Court should rule against Samsung

In its legal brief, Apple said Samsung has introduced “no evidence” that design patent damages should be decided on anything less than the value of an entire smartphone. Apple said there was no need for the Supreme Court to send the case back to a lower court for further proceedings.

Samsung are thieves and should pay what they owe.

  1. Samsung are thieves and should pay what they owe.

So true. And of course others copy their example today and hope to do it entirely scott free.

  2. I recently saw some horrible vile photos of dogs being tortured and eaten in Korea and that makes me want to personally boycott anything from a Korean company.

  3. Just because they should pay damages for violating patents does not mean that design patents should entitle the holder of the patent of 100% of profits. Should Apple have handed 100% of iPhone profits to UW-Madison after they violated their design patent? If not, why is that different?

  5. not pleasant but here in the US its about as humane as you can get it. its certainly not torture, or skinning them alive like we see from the fur industry in china.

on the whole we’re pretty kind to our mammals. much kinder than in many parts of the world.

case in point — in my town one cant use mule-driven carriages outside if its over a certain temperature. in mexico? yeah, right.
