From the official Planet of the Apps site:
Participation in the show is limited to 100 of the world’s most talented app creators. If that’s you, please join us.
Think that describes you? Here’s a link to the casting form.
And hey, if the Planet of the Apps folks are looking for a judge, I’m definitely available.
I wish Apple would go back to making computers. I mean I know its a ‘mature’ market, yet there is plenty of money to be made, for a company that builds quality machines!
I don’t understand this at all. This is not giving a value to Apple TV platform. This is preaching. If Apple want to lift the platform further, just buy a right to English Premiereship and the sales will be through the roof, especially in Asia (China & India)
Bad idea.
Agreed. But Apple is probably the last company that I can imagine doing something edgy like Netflix or HBO. Maybe there’s a market for sanctimonious political correctness, though 😉
Actually, I like the idea of a show that goes behind the scenes on developers. It could be inspiring for a lot of other people out there looking to create as well. And I’ll watch it.
They probably need to release the show to other services, though, so people can see it and decide they need an Apple device to be able to get what they just heard about.
not compared to mobile. the numbers dont lie.
thankfully, apple is the most profitable maker in both industries.
im running a fully loaded 2011 iMac and its still sweet.
ah, good thing we have more people online to tell us what bad ideas Apple is making. it’s amazing theyve been around for 40 years, considering how many folks like yourselves have pointed out all the bad ideas theyve had!
or….theyre better at these things than you are? nooo, that couldnt be! could it?
despite the chorus of the usual apple haters and those with no vision or ability to think outside their worldview, this sounds like an interesting show idea to me. sure, id watch it. why not??
some of you (not just on this site but on other forums too) sound like youre such victims.
Apple does make computers. But why do you think it can be only one or the other? Why can’t they make computers and phones and TV shows? You do realize the engineers who develop the computers aren’t likely the same people directing the TV show, right?
lol
