Try Amazon’s Alexa in your web browser

You can also test it out in the app Roger if you prefer a more native app-esque experience. https://rogertalk.com
“and may exchange information with third party services to fulfill your requests”
Nah.
While this is nice, you’re not gonna get anywhere near a full experience as there are some fundamental things Alexa is immensely useful for.
1: Controlling things in your home (a whole house computer)
2: Quickly ordering items from Amazon (need more coffee? just shout!)
3: Listening to Podcasts with ease and incredible quality (Wife: are there people in the house?)
4: Reliable multiple hands free timers (great for cooking)
5: Reliable alarms that always work with perfection
6: Quick ToDo’s (dump open loops and just say “Alexa, I need to order milk)
You realize you’re talking to people who have been doing this for YEARS on their iPhones and iPads right?
Eh, it’s not the same. Alexa always works. You never have to repeat yourself and you can be in any room of your house due the far-field voice recognition. Also, iPads and iPhones can’t control nearly as many home automation solutions that Alexa can. If it’s smart home enabled, more than likely Alexa can control it. Even Plex lol!
How else would it fulfil the request? Surely if you ask it a question it’s going to have to go off somewhere, fetch some data and then present it, unless it’s an incredibly simple question like a calculation of some sort.
