Apple pulls iOS 9.3.2 update for 9.7-inch iPad Pro

Amid a growing number of complaints over iOS 9.3.2 bricking some 9.7-inch iPad Pro models, Apple yesterday pulled the iOS 9.3.2 update. 9.7-inch iPad Pro users who have not installed iOS 9.3.2 no longer see the update, with iOS 9.3.1 now listed as the most current version of iOS 9 available for download.

Very specific problem for one model of the iPad. Weird.

  1. We’ll never know but it’d be interesting to know what specific about the pro is causing this, and why internal + beta testing didn’t detect it. There seem to have been a few device specific issues with updates recently.

  2. It is a weird one indeed, my own theory is that they sort of pushed 9.3.2 out right after the b4? IIRC.

For me I run the betas on my “test devices” I can’t afford a secondary brand new one, so my test OS X machine is a MBP 4,1(2007) and one iPad mini retina, and an iPhone 5S.

I don’t run betas on my primary phone for safety reasons mainly, and I won’t install betas on my iPad Pro (which did update fine, still wondering what the issue is there!) and I think I’m not too unique;; possibly not that many people installed betas on their newest devices either.

I wonder if they have worked out any common factors – I have pink, max spec except no LTE.
