Huge interface improvement. Much easier to create playlists now.
Good improvements, but I find it disappointing that they still haven’t found a way to make the apps automatically update themselves.
Dare I hope?
Still sluggish as hell (even slower than the last one), still erratic collapsing of open items, still showing some single albums as three or more albums, still jumping to the wrong space when full screen video playback ends, still no way to stop a streaming movie or tv show from continuing to download… etc ad inf. So, they moved a few buttons around and gave it a version number? Pathetic.
At this point they should just admit that they only have apprentices working on it. When is the successor coming?

When I updated to 10.11.5, iTunes updated also, and when it restarted to the same view it had before (my iPad’s summary page), it took me the longest time to figure out how the bleep to get to the store: nothing in the menu would do it. I had to hit the bleeping back button (the “<“up in the lefthand corner) to get there. No menu navigation. Annoying.
I used to be able to switch between music and apps with one icon click. Now, I need to open a pop-up menu, look for the item I want in the list, and then click again to select it. I wouldn’t characterize this as a “simpler design.”
