Nice overview, if somewhat skimpy on the business-model differences between a service that’s primarily meant to enable buying stuff, as opposed to a one that’s meant to help you do pretty much everything else with stuff you already own.
I think the only damnable things about Siri in that video relates to the news and voice quality of Alexa.
Seems like Apple could easily sign an agreement with some national news provider to manage the top stories function and provide that through Siri audibly. Same with news in the pointless Siri Suggestions area. Prime real estate in iOS that’s wasted while trying to do it algorithmically.

Siri is multi language vs Alexa only speaking and understanding english… To me that is a big win for Siri.

On the other hand, I can’t imagine actually getting my news that way. Seems a fundamentally useless approach to me. I’ll take curated radio news or a damn web page, but not that.
