You can see Apple’s full list of supported banks and countries. I love Apple Pay.

I love Apple Pay, too!
One interesting incident I had recently, though: My Chase account had the funds each time, but I got “Not approved” at Whole Foods using Apple Pay on three successive visits. Each time, after the failure, I used the same account’s physical card and it was approved. Whole Foods management checked into it and told me that on one of my visits the customer after me tried their Apple Pay and it worked. So I checked with Chase. The first person on the line told me there was nothing abnormal at their end. So I asked to speak to the supervisor. Again, nothing apparently wrong. I got irate and said that I was not accepting such answers, and then a security person got on the line and noticed that I had some higher security setting on my account. The person said they could take if off for three months, and also confessed that other customers had been experiencing similar issues, and that they were sorting it out. On recent visits to Whole Foods my Apple Pay has worked.
I hope there’s a push for more retailers soon. I appreciate Apple expanding Apple Pay in any way they can, but the weak link has been retailers for awhile. None of the places I go most often take it, so I can’t reasonably leave my wallet at home any time soon.

Interesting. I have the same issue at Best Buy with my debit card. I can use the physical card and it works just fine. I need to call my bank, but I’m glad to hear that it’s not just me.
Overall, I love using Apple Pay. My only complaint is that I still have to sign at most places, but that isn’t an Apple Pay issue. It would just be nice if the fingerprint identification required to use Apple Pay in the first place would eliminate the need to sign or use your PIN and speed up the checkout process.
Some corporate entities supporting Apple Pay are most likely being very conservative over their embrace of this new system. Old habits die hard. But I suspect that the signature requirement will be dropped in most cases, once a successful track record is established.
