Apple appointed George Stathakopoulos, formerly vice president of information security at Amazon.com and before that Microsoft’s general manager of product security, to be vice president of corporate information security, the people said.
Stathakopoulos will be in charge of protecting corporate assets.
George Stathakopoulos is a total pro. I expect that Apple will have to up their internal game. Up to now they’ve had to deal with industrial sized corporate security problems, I think now they’ll have to guard against state sponsored intrusions.
Now? I think Eric Snowden has already proven that NSA has been one step ahead of most tech companies for some time. 🙂
