Of course when cars are secure, law enforcement is going to complain that they can’t access the vehicle data of criminals. There needs to be some leadership in law enforcement to confront the culture of wanting to have universal access. There is no reason universal access to personal data is necessary to carry out law enforcement duties. It will take some political courage to get some acceptance of this fact engrained in the law enforcement culture.

This is circular logic. Think about this the FBI wants a back door to smart phione but warns against hacking of cars. however most cars become hackable when you Bluetooth your smart phone to your car!
