Above Avalon:
There have been a handful of events since 2011 that have served as key milestones in Cook’s tenure as CEO. The Apple Maps debacle, Apple Retail turmoil, Apple supply chain working conditions, environmental activism, and data privacy and security, have each played a role in laying the groundwork for Tim Cook’s legacy.
With Jony Ive focused on Apple’s product vision, Tim Cook has been playing to his strengths dedicating much of his attention to nurturing the Apple experience by focusing on six values: security and privacy, trust, equality and ethics, and environmentally responsibility.
It would actually be a shame if this issue was the “defining moment” of Cook’s legacy as Apple’s CEO. It means that our governments had failed us.
Yeah, yeah, so what else is new?
Did you see who the frontrunner is for the Republican Party?
Mitch McConnell failed U.S. today with his defiant partisan announcement.
Next week the FBI will fail U.S. when they put everyone at Apple HQ in jail.
…
environmentally responsibility?
Do Editors even exist any more?
The government hasn’t failed yet. Only the FBI and this one misguided, knows-nothing-about-technology court have failed us so far. There is still a whole process of appeals up through the Supreme Court. Ted Olson just signed on to argue the case for Apple. He is the one who successfully argued to get parts of the government to stop interfering with millions of American marriages.
Generally speaking, no.
Nobody is going to jail just yet. They are going to the Supreme Court.
