Walmart Pay

Walmart Pay’s QR code-based checkout process will involve opening the Walmart app, selecting Walmart Pay, activating the camera, scanning the code displayed at the register and waiting for the cashier to finish bagging your items. An electronic receipt will automatically be sent to the Walmart app.

Yeah, that’ll work.

  1. “Activating the camera”? Why wouldn’t that happen automatically when you select Walmart Pay?

  2. How is that faster or easier than whipping out your credit card and swiping/inserting it? Many eyes will roll. It’s the 2015 version of paying by check.

  3. Already used a chip system here in the states at the Local Walmart. I was impressed in the way that it took a simple transaction and turned it into a multi step dance with the devil. I can’t wait for the additional innovations that our friends from Arkansas (tech world central HQ) bestow upon us.

  4. I very much liked the NES, SNES, and N64 controllers as well. I can also do with the classic and pro controllers as well as most playstation controllers. Traditional is key.
