Fraser Speirs:
There has been a lot of talk in recent weeks about the MacBook Pro and, in particular, whether it can replace an iPad Pro for getting real work done.
Only those with very specific workflows could realistically switch from iPad Pro to a MacBook Pro.
Speirs does a masterful job of flipping the question on its head.
Asking the question is like going to Camelot. It’s a silly question.
I do video editing on large projects, so the MacBook Pro is the only portable device I can use. I think the issue is simply that the iPad now shares the “Pro” space, so the professionals now have two tables in the Apple Store they can approach. That’s fantastic. And we could simply describe each device objectively, without criticizing their features. Mo Apple is mo betta.
Brilliant way to redefine “limitations.”
Now you’re just trolling. 😉
Little bit. I do enjoy seeing angry posts from desktop die-hards, lecturing everyone about “real work.”
This is how I felt when I read many of the iPad Pro reviews. Is it for everyone? No. Is it for a lot of people? Yes. Is it for you, guy reviewing it? I have no idea, and I don’t care about your answer. What I care about is the factors you see going into that.
