Members of Google’s Project Zero vulnerability research team have challenged a key talking point surrounding the security of Google’s Android mobile operating system. To wit, a key exploit mitigation known as address space layout randomization does much less than the company’s overworked public relations people say in blocking attacks targeting critical weaknesses in Android’s stagefright media library.
Jesus, this company is so fucked up. Good luck Android people. If you ever doubted that Google is lying to you, this should put it to rest.
Being an iOS developer for some time now, I have to say that in retrospect to Apple, google has fucked up way less in product delivery than Apple. The main difference is that google engineers can freely voice their opinions about a lot of stuff, while Apple just silently releases a flop after a flop, yet no one notices, because we’re all accustomed to all of the defects each iOS/OSX version comes with.
If we consider Google fucked up, Apple is the king of fucking up their customers, yet they still flock back to them. And yes I am one of them.
Yes Google does nothing wrong. Forcing Google+ down users, polluting the web with tasteless granny dating ads, creating the security and usability turd that Android is.
People just don’t complain because their services are free or cheap, subsidised by your personal data.
Oh wait you said customers, well you see Google customers are the advertisers and yes Google fucks them too by allowing fake ad views, ridicously overcharging Adwords through scammy “bidding” schemes and limiting free organic results by showing an ever growing number of ads as “results”
What does that have to do with Google lying [or dissimulating so broadly that I hesitate to pick another word] about security impacts and mitigation?

I think I would like to avoid them with your bizarre delusion and/or resentment towards Apple that you display with your comment.
